It's possible that your blood pressure may lower after stopping hormonal birth control, but it also could have increased only slightly. Your blood pressure may still be under control if you take nonhormonal options. If your blood pressure is uncontrolled (at or over 160/100), then it's best to stick with nonhormonal options no matter your age.
